Data Deletion
Last updated: October 26, 2026
We received your deletion request. Your confirmation code is .
We act on a request the moment Facebook or Instagram sends it to us, so the deletion described below has already happened. If we held nothing linked to your account, there was nothing to delete. For written confirmation of what was removed, email legal@zoeyos.com with this code.
This page covers Zoey for Marketing, the Zoey OS app a business uses to connect its Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts so it can schedule posts, approve them, see how they perform, and answer comments and messages. It explains what we store when you connect, how to remove the app, and what we delete.
What we store when you connect an account
- The access token Facebook or Instagram gives us, kept encrypted, so we can post on your behalf.
- The account's ID, name, username and profile picture link, so your team can see which account a post goes to.
- For posts we publish for you: the post's ID and link on Facebook or Instagram, and the performance numbers (such as views and likes) we read back.
- If the business answers comments or messages through Zoey: the comments and direct messages people send to the account, their Facebook or Instagram user ID, name, username and profile picture link, the replies and messages the business sends, and notes Zoey makes about each conversation (such as a short summary and its stage).
- We keep the text of comments and messages, and people's names and pictures, for at most 90 days.
How to remove the app and delete your data
From Facebook
Click your profile picture, go to Settings & privacy, then Settings, and choose Apps and websites. Find Zoey for Marketing, click Remove, and confirm.
From Instagram
Open Settings, search for Apps and websites, find Zoey for Marketing and tap Remove.
When you remove the app, Facebook or Instagram tells us automatically, and we delete your data right away. You'll get a confirmation code that links back to this page.
From inside Zoey
A workspace owner can disconnect the account under Social > Settings > Connections. That deletes the same data listed below.
By email
Email legal@zoeyos.com from the address on your Zoey account, or tell us which Facebook Page or Instagram account it's about. We'll confirm the deletion by reply.
What we delete
- The access token, so we can no longer reach your account.
- The account's ID, name, username and profile picture link.
- The Facebook and Instagram IDs and links of posts we published for you.
- All performance numbers we read for those posts.
- Every comment, message and conversation we stored from the account, the IDs, names, usernames and profile picture links of the people in them, the replies and messages sent through Zoey, and Zoey's notes and summaries about those conversations.
What we keep
- Your business's own drafts, captions and media in your Zoey workspace, and its reply and follow-up settings (keywords and message templates). You wrote those in Zoey, not on Facebook or Instagram, and they stay until your workspace deletes them or closes its account.
- A record that a deletion happened: the confirmation code, when the request arrived and when it finished, which of our apps it came through, how many accounts it covered and whether we found anything to delete. It contains no Facebook or Instagram data.
We don't delete posts that are already live on Facebook or Instagram. Delete those on the platform itself.
Our database backups roll over every 7 days, so deleted data is gone from them within 7 days.
